Benchmark International Arena, located at 401 Channelside Drive in Tampa, Florida, has a rich history dating back to its opening in 1996. Originally known as the Ice Palace, it was built as a state-of-the-art multipurpose venue to host ice hockey, concerts, and other events. The arena’s first event was a circus performance, but it quickly became synonymous with professional sports when the Tampa Bay Lightning of the NHL made it their home. Over the years, the venue underwent several name changes reflecting sponsorship deals: it was renamed the St. Pete Times Forum in 2002, then the Tampa Bay Times Forum in 2011, and Amalie Arena in 2014. In August 2025, it was rebranded as Benchmark International Arena through a multi-year naming rights partnership with Benchmark International, a Tampa-based mergers and acquisitions firm that is privately held and headquartered in the city.
